Welcome to House the Homeless

There’s a lot of talk about global warming but many buy-to-let landlords are catching a chill. Less American and corporate tenants, a high percentage of owner occupiers and a proliferation of properties... instead of enjoying the glow of an appreciating asset, many property investors are finding themselves under financial duress.

Why do landlords leave properties empty?

Thousands of single parents, people with disabilities and many others need accommodation. House the Homeless was established to help tenants in social need find accommodation and provide a reliable source of income for Buy to Let landlords.

People in Social Need

People in social need are sometimes stereotyped as being anti-social; but a single mother with a young baby is less likely to play loud head banging music than a house full of students, a pensioner on income support is unlikely to be the subject of an ASBO.

Having housed people in social need for 20 years, On The House, the company behind House the Homeless, has found no relationship between bad tenants of any type - diplomats, trades people, students, professionals, young families or people in social need - there are good and bad tenants in all categories.
